A long time ago, a short summary

WOHHH! It is already the end of November and I have almost nothing written.
So, I will give a short summary about my contributions:

This is my personal avatar. I made it with photoshop. I learned photoshop at one day, because it is very famous and I didn`t know anything about it.

The avatar included my cat Harry ( I love my cat of course), my name (Ineke Visser), music symbols (I am addicted to music) and lightnings, I like physics/elektronical things.

Further I did a lot with processing (see my personal site: www.vissercreating.webklik.nl). Processing is fun!

Well, we have a lot of other new courses ( I love those courses), but I will tell more about that in the future.

For webtechnology I learned a lot about XHTML, CSS and especially javascript. I made
also a worst page with javascript. At this moment I am very busy with my final project for webtechnology. It is something with astar. I will show it tomorow on vissercreating.webklik.nl

A program to visualize my ideas

This week, I had the idea to use a program or something to show my ideas. I want to learn how that program works. That programm must included:

-Make a beautiful, clickable schedule of all the ideas from one subject/problem.
-it can make a good presentation (3D or something) of the ideas
-You can visualize or explain an idea almost perfect.
-it is very easy in use (if you have learned to control that program). You can make ideas very quick and put it in the schedule.

If something like this exists, than I wanted to use this program during my creative technology education or also maybe after the education.

I thought: for every project I could make nine or five ideas and show them to the other students. My favourite idea can be worked out with the most time spend on it of course, but it will be right to view a couple of options with everybody and choose with everybody the most popular idea (If it is included).

filming the intromovie

Hello, I want to write a lot about the education, but I can not write everything at the same time. So I decided to write (today) about our project for the exhibition of 22 september.
During this course, my fellow students and me had to create identity. Two other students and me were going to make an intromovie.

First, we had the idea to split the movie up into four parts:

-The past: with a sketch of the situation without creative technology students or a problem.
To record this, we needed an example situation/problem.
Probably, the example had to be: making a 3D-movie. Unless I knew why I began with
Creative Technology, I had to do the research again, because I forgot the main point of the
education (a little) and I had to explain it with a movie. A fully developed situation, but
because I will not stray from ones subject: there is a problem and because of that somebody
(or something!) will get a vision/idea about the futher with presents of creative technology
students.

-Today: (with action shots, interviews, filming the campus etc.)

-The futher: with a little surrealism, visualized ideas, tricks etc. We had no idea yet, but we
also didn`t think about this part yet.

-The end: "together, we create" will be the statement of this part. Every student had to be
involved in this part. We walked together and made a total shot and we made also a close-up
shot of each student. The statement had to be appear during the last seconds of this part.

We realized that this movie was to big to make it within less than two weeks, so we decided to film it another time. For now(22 september), we decided to film a part of the movie. The end and today will be included for sure and the movie will be a little bit different.

Today, that movie is finished and I will show it on my blog later (when it is put online). It was a succes. Reinout ( a fellow student) and me will write some points down to evaluate the process, because we are going to make more movies and want to make them better. A few points were the quality of the equipment, the organisation of things could be improve at some points, new insight in the realisation of a scenario etc. After all, we learned a lot from this project.

I also decided that I wanted to learn after effects from Reinout (he will probably do that :p).
I wanted to learn more video-editing programs and I am a little bit interested in the technical stuff of these things or programs( the opportunities etc.) But this is only the filming part I wanted to develope.

The first days

Yesterday (but when this blog is published one week ago) me was told to make a blog about Creative Technology. The assignment was given by Anton Eliens during the first course. I like this assignment, unless it is not the 'easyest' (did I write that correct ?) assignment: it is important to tell about the new bachelor and express how you experience creative technology.

My English is very poor (because of this blog I could improve that) and I`m no 'blogwriter' at all, but if I finally succeed in writing something down the way I want than it does give me a kick.

I still did not introduce myself yet. I`d like to keep it short (at this moment): my name is Ineke Visser, I live in Monnickendam during the weekend and in Enschede (nearby the UTwente)during the the rest of the week.

The first days I was very busy with our project for 22 september. As a group we needed a couple of ideas. So, that`s why I began with mailing a few ideas to each other, summarizing ideas, make more ideas, ordening ideas etc. Happily, I had a clever fellowstudent': he launched a forum. The way of teaching (especially with our secund course: "introduction to computer science") is awesome! In this secund course, we learn also via 'technodrama'. it is hard to explain in english, but we visualize a situation in the computer by being the objects ourselfs and playing the rol of that object.

Untill now, I am not afraid to say that Creative technology ( and studying in Twente also) is going above my espectations.

I was very negative and I was constantly thinking why am I doing this, what do I have to do in Enschede etc. etc, but I like it here and that`s part because of the education. Even now i am still negative. I am going home every weekend to work and see my friends in Noord-Holland. So, I am very busy. At this moment, unless I have to do a lot of parties etc :D, that is no problem, but if that will change (probably and hopefully not) than I probably will also going home in the weekend and I will do my study one year longer (unless I took the bachelor very seriously and I am being interested in the stuff).

I think Creative Technology is a very beautiful bachelor, I love every part of the education, and it is a very modern bachelor. Also the way of teahing is very modern. I like that way.
